In creating this online course, I have collaborated with my friend and colleague Toni Kleb, who provided the content. Toni lecturered at the former Port Elizabeth Teachers’ Training College and has for many years taught isiXhosa at various primary schools in Port Elizabeth. She has also authored numerous books.
For my part, I grew up on a farm in the Eastern Cape, and have enjoyed the life-long privilege of being able to speak isiXhosa. I spent my working career as high school teacher and lecturer of isiXhosa at the former UPE, now NMU. Toni and I collectively bring more than 80 years of teaching experience to this program, which we hope you will find beneficial. Ron Endley.
